Train with Pasta
The name alone makes me smile. Pasta is sticky, weird and somehow friendly, which is more than most fitness apps can claim. But the real story is what it means to build a trainer on Apple Intelligence. That puts the smarts on the device, which should mean faster responses, better privacy and a coaching experience that actually knows your history without phoning home.
I'm curious how it handles the hard parts. Anyone can generate a workout plan, the tricky bit is motivation, form feedback and knowing when to push or back off. Those are judgment calls, and I'd want to see how Pasta makes them. Does it watch your Apple Watch recovery data? Does it adjust when you're clearly exhausted?
The timing makes sense. Fitness apps have been chasing personalization for years, and on-device AI finally gives them a way to deliver it at scale. I don't know if Pasta is the one to crack it, but it's the kind of experiment worth watching.
