CMF’s first wireless speakers look like musical milk cartons
The milk carton silhouette is doing a lot of work before these speakers even play a note. CMF has built its name on making budget gear look like something you'd actually want to show off, and this design carries that streak into a new category. The Headphone Pro set the template: distinctive looks, aggressive pricing, and enough performance to justify the purchase. These speakers look like the same bet, just in a more portable form.
The timing matters because CMF is becoming its own India-based company while Nothing focuses elsewhere. That means the design identity has to stand on its own, and a speaker that looks like something pulled from a fridge shelf is a bold way to establish it. I'd want to know how the milk carton shape affects acoustics, since a tall, narrow enclosure is a real constraint for bass response, and whether the price undercuts the usual suspects in this category.
I'm not ready to call it a hit or a miss. The design will get attention, but portable speakers live or die on battery life, pairing stability, and how they actually sound outdoors. Those details matter more than the packaging, and they're exactly what CMF hasn't told us yet.
