Talarico says he wants to work with Trump on bipartisan MAGA agenda
A Democrat openly asking to help deliver on Trump's MAGA promises is the kind of move that gets noticed in a state like Texas, where statewide Democrats have struggled for decades. Talarico seems to be betting that voters here care more about results on things like border security, the economy, and energy policy than they do about party loyalty to Washington leadership. It's a risky pitch, but it's also a realistic one. If you're running statewide in Texas, you can't win by pretending Trump doesn't exist.
What I find interesting is the word "bipartisan" sitting right next to "MAGA agenda." Those two ideas don't usually share a sentence. Talarico is essentially saying he wants to take Trump's most popular promises and claim a share of the credit for delivering them, while presumably steering the parts he disagrees with. Whether that's genuine pragmatism or just campaign positioning is hard to say from one interview.
I'd want to know which specific promises he means. Border policy? Tariffs? Energy independence? That's where the real test comes, because the details will show whether this is a hand extended in good faith or a rhetorical bridge that collapses on contact. Either way, it's a smarter opening move than most Texas Democrats have made lately.
