PrivOS
The part that actually gets me is the "agents that act" piece. We've been drowning in AI copilots that summarize and suggest, but the ones that close the loop, move a kanban card, draft a doc, respond to a thread, they're still rare. PrivOS is betting that teams want that autonomy, just on their own hardware.
I'd want to know how the agents are triggered and what guardrails exist. An agent that acts is great until it acts wrong. Self-hosting solves the data residency problem, but it also means you're on the hook for maintaining the thing. That's a real tradeoff.
Still, the timing feels right. The pendulum is swinging back toward ownership after years of everything-as-a-subscription. If PrivOS nails the setup experience, it could carve out a genuine niche. The question is whether they can keep the AI layer sharp enough to compete with the big cloud players who have way more compute and training data behind them.
