The New Beings
The detail that gets me is the break. AI agents don't need breaks, but staging them as if they do turns the whole thing into a joke about work culture and a thought experiment at the same time. A talk show is such a human format, all banter and timing and playing to the crowd, so watching machines try to fill it makes you notice every place where the performance feels thin.
I think this matters because it's another step away from treating AI as a tool you query and toward treating it as a cast of characters you watch. That shift is already happening across entertainment and social media, and this project just makes it explicit. The live element is the risky part, since agents can go off script in ways that are either hilarious or uncomfortable, and that unpredictability is probably the real draw.
I'd want to know how much of the show is scripted and how much is genuinely improvised, because that changes what we're actually seeing. Either way, I like that someone is asking what AI does when it's not being useful. The answer so far looks like a very weird open mic night.
