Mozy
The smartest thing Mozy does is ship for both Android and iPhone from day one. So many app blockers are locked to one ecosystem, which is strange when you think about how many people carry a work phone and a personal phone, or switch between platforms. Covering both is a real wedge, and it tells me the team understands the actual pain point: fragmented attention doesn't care which OS you're on.
That said, this is a brutally competitive corner of the market. Apple ships Screen Time, Google has Digital Wellbeing baked in, and then there are established names like Freedom and Forest with years of brand trust behind them. Mozy needs to prove its blocking experience feels better than those options. Is the setup instant? Does the block actually stick when your willpower fades at 11pm? Those small details are where users either stay or churn.
I'd want to know what makes Mozy different beyond the platform coverage. Maybe it's a smarter scheduling system, or a gentler nudge approach instead of hard locks. The raw material here is thin, so I'm mostly curious. But in a market this crowded, a clean cross-platform blocker with a good feel could still carve out a loyal niche. The bar is modest, and being a little more thoughtful than the defaults would be enough.
