Lookout (for Slack)
I've been in enough Slack channels to know the pain: a hundred notifications an hour, and the one that actually matters gets lost in the noise. Lookout is attacking that exact problem, and the fact it's powered by Jev suggests some real intelligence under the hood, not just a fancy filter. If it can learn what counts as urgent for each team, that's genuinely useful.
The pitch is simple, but simple is what Slack has needed for years. The platform's own features like mentions and pins haven't solved the overload problem. A tool that steps in and says, this one needs your eyes now, could save founders from the classic missed-SLA disaster. I'd want to know how it decides urgency, and whether it learns from your team's behavior or just uses rules. That's the difference between a gimmick and a daily driver.
I'm curious if Jev is an existing AI model or something custom. Either way, the timing feels right. Remote work isn't going anywhere, and asynchronous communication is only getting louder. If Lookout can actually deliver on instant handling, it might become as essential as the mute button.
