CoolDock
160+ live widgets is a bold promise for a second Dock. CoolDock's whole pitch is that your Mac can have a dedicated strip for glanceable info, separate from the app launcher you already have. That's a clean idea, and honestly one that makes sense for anyone who juggles calendar, weather, and system stats all day.
I'm curious about the execution. A second Dock needs to be fast and unobtrusive, otherwise it's just another thing to close. Live widgets can be resource hogs if they're not built carefully, and on a Mac that's a real concern. I'd want to know how it handles that, and whether it plays nice with all the existing widget types or ships its own curated set.
There's also the question of whether people will actually use it. Docks are habit, and adding a second one is a change to muscle memory. But if it's done right, it could be one of those tools you forget you're using, until you try to work without it. That's the sweet spot.
