I've seen a hundred "just upload a song and play it" tools for rhythm games, and most of them chart like a robot with no feel for the music. AutoChart.eu is betting it can do better for YARG and Clone Hero, the community games that keep the Guitar Hero spirit alive. Full-band charting means generating parts for guitar, bass, drums and vocals, which is a genuinely hard problem, far beyond just placing notes in time.
The interesting part is what this unlocks. The rhythm game scene runs on custom charts, and the bottleneck has always been skilled human charters. If this tool gets good enough that a decent chart falls out of a single upload, it changes how the community shares music. I'd want to know how it handles the messy stuff, tempo changes, solos, songs with weird time signatures, because that's where auto-charters usually fall apart.
I'd also be curious about the business side. Is this a free passion project, or is there a paid tier? Either way, it's a smart bet on a niche that's genuinely passionate. If the charts are good, word spreads fast in that community.
