From Toast to Bessemer: Who founders will hear from at TechCrunch Founder Summit 2026
I love that TechCrunch is leaning into the messy middle of startup life for this summit. Fundraising gets all the headlines, but the real founder experience is spent agonizing over churn, hiring mistakes, and whether that enterprise deal is ever going to close. A speaker list that stretches from Toast to Bessemer tells me we're getting both operator scars and investor perspective in one room. That's a combo I'd pay real money to hear.
What I'd want to know more about is the "outside traditional startup hubs" part. Plenty of founders are building serious companies in places that don't show up on the usual maps, and their playbooks for talent, capital, and customers look different. If the summit actually gives them a platform rather than treating them as a novelty, that's a win.
The partnership with Fidelity Private Shares is also worth noting. Private market liquidity is a topic founders are thinking about earlier and earlier, so having that conversation baked into the day feels timely. I hope the panels get specific about numbers and timelines, because vague platitudes about scaling are the last thing founders need.
