Base Code
I love the audacity of a one-liner like "Let your whole team build on your product." It's the kind of promise that either changes how software gets made or becomes another internal tool graveyard. The real question is whether Base Code has figured out the guardrails. Letting non-engineers build sounds great until someone ships a broken workflow to production.
What I'd want to see is how they handle permissions, version control, and review. The companies that win in this space are the ones that make the builder feel like a superpower but keep the safety net tight. There's a whole wave of "citizen developer" tools, but most stop at dashboards or simple forms. If Base Code actually lets people build on the core product logic, that's a different ballgame.
I'm cautiously optimistic. The trend toward composability and internal platforms is real, and the best products are the ones that turn customers into co-builders. But the proof is in the onboarding and the governance model. If they can make it feel as natural as editing a doc, they've got something. If not, it'll be another nice demo that fades.
