Collin Gosselin Says He ‘Threatened’ Kate Gosselin’s Image
Collin Gosselin was six years old when the cameras were on him, and now he's using his voice to describe what the cameras didn't show. The word "threatened" is doing a lot of work there. A kid doesn't threaten an image just by existing, unless the image was already fragile. I think we all knew reality TV families were performing, but hearing it from the kids who grew up inside the performance lands differently.
The show told a story about a happy, chaotic family. Collin says home was something else. I'd want to know exactly what he means by threatened, and what he remembers that we never saw. The interesting part is how the edit becomes the official record, and the child's memory becomes the correction. That matters beyond this one family, because we watched a lot of kids grow up on camera and we're only now hearing what they thought was happening.
I don't know the full story here, and I shouldn't pretend to. But I do think Collin deserves to tell it in his own words, without the show's soundtrack.
