Searchtok
The smartest part of this is the timing. AI agents are hungry for data, and the biggest untapped source left is social video, which is messy, fast-moving, and locked inside walled gardens. Searchtok is betting that being the search layer for that content is worth more than trying to compete with the platforms themselves.
I'd want to know the mechanics, though. Are they indexing captions and transcripts, or actually parsing visual content? And how do they keep it fresh, because social feeds turn over in hours, not days. The real question is whether they have a sustainable way to access that data, because platform APIs are notoriously restrictive and scraping is a legal gray zone. That's the risk that could sink the whole thing.
Still, if they solve the access problem, this could be genuinely useful. I can see it powering trend detection, competitor analysis, or even helping smaller brands understand what's resonating without manually doomscrolling for hours. I'm hopeful, but I want to see how they handle the plumbing before I get too excited.
