Grablo Spot
The "free" part is doing a lot of heavy lifting here, and I think that's smart. Most NVR software charges per camera or per feature, so a zero-cost entry point lets Grablo get its foot in the door at places that would never spring for premium video analytics. Time is the real product though. The whole pitch is about saving someone from sitting through hours of parking lot footage to find a white van. That's a pain I've seen operators complain about for years, and it's been shocking how slow the security industry has been to solve it.
What I'd want to know is how accurate the search actually is in messy real-world conditions. AI demos look great in perfect lighting, but warehouse floors and rainy streets are a different beast. And there's the matter of who's doing the processing. Edge AI on the device, or cloud? That changes the privacy calculus and the cost structure down the line. Still, I like where this is aimed. Cameras are everywhere, but the footage is useless unless you can act on it fast. If Grablo nails that search layer, it becomes the missing interface between hours of recordings and a one-second answer.
