O.J. Simpson, a Secret Informant and a Decades-Old Mystery
The brother's claim is the detail that gets me. An informant described as extremely reliable, and now placed at the crime scene by family, was telling authorities about the missing murder weapon. That means someone with direct knowledge was talking while the investigation was still alive, and yet the weapon never turned up. I'd want to know what was done with that tip and why the informant's name stayed hidden for so many years.
The O.J. Simpson case has always felt like a hall of mirrors, and this is another reflection. Every unsealed record seems to add a new character who knew something, but we rarely get this close to the physical evidence. The brother's account could be shaky, memory fades and motives twist, but it deserves scrutiny. If the informant really was at the crime scene, the missing weapon is the hinge of the whole story.
I don't know where this leads. I'd want to hear more from the brother and see the actual records. But it's a reminder that the most famous murder case in modern American history still has rooms we haven't opened.
