DotMD

If your AI agent keeps handing you messy Markdown specs, DotMD wants to be the first line of defense. The tool treats your agent's Markdown output like a pull request, meaning you can review, diff, and approve changes before they ever land in your codebase or docs. It's a small, focused pitch, but it hits a real pain point. As AI agents crank out more files, specs, and docs on their own, the review workflow is still stuck in 2015. DotMD is betting that the next battleground isn't generating content, it's gating it. The startup is early and the details are thin, but the instinct is right: if agents are going to write your Markdown, somebody needs to human-check the diff.

Reviewing Markdown like a pull request sounds obvious until you realize almost nobody does it. We've all seen the chaos of an agent dumping a 400-line spec with zero visibility into what actually changed. DotMD is attacking that quiet, unglamorous bottleneck, and I kind of love it for that.

The pull request mental model is a smart way to borrow trust from developers. We already know how to review code. Porting that same ritual over to agent-generated Markdown makes the whole thing feel safe and familiar, which is half the battle when you're asking teams to adopt a new tool.

I'd want to know how deep the diffing goes. Does it catch semantic changes or just line-by-line text shifts? And is it a standalone CLI, or does it slot into GitHub and Linear? The narrower the wedge, the better.

The bigger play here is that as agents get more autonomy, review tools become the control layer. DotMD might be starting with specs, but if it nails the workflow, the next step is gating agent output everywhere. That's a very defensible seat at the table.
