Causo

Causo is aiming at the tired part of B2B lead gen where everyone sorts the same database and calls it research. The pitch is to use AI research and MCP, the Model Context Protocol, to surface prospects that plain filters would never catch, pulling in context and connections that a standard CRM query misses. For founders staring at the same thousand names as every competitor, that could be the difference between an empty pipeline and a real conversation. It's a small tool with a big claim, and the real test is whether the leads actually close.

The part I like is the bet that the best leads aren't in the database yet. Every CRM and sales tool lets you filter on title, industry, company size, and you end up with the same list as everyone else. Causo is saying the real opportunity is in prospects that show up in research, in context, in details that never made it into a structured field. That's a genuinely different angle.

MCP is the detail I want to know more about. The Model Context Protocol is how AI models reach into external tools, and if Causo is using it to let an agent actually go research a company and pull back a lead, that's more interesting than another enrichment API. But I'd want to see how it handles accuracy and hallucination, because a researched lead that's wrong is worse than no lead at all.

The big open question is whether these leads convert better than the filtered ones. Finding a name nobody else has is only valuable if that person actually buys. I'd want to see a case study or a pipeline comparison before I get too excited, but the direction feels right for where sales tech is headed.
