Google’s Pixel 11 phones are up to 27 percent off
Google is discounting its newest phones just a couple of months after launch, which tells me they're feeling pressure from Apple's fall cycle and the aggressive pricing of mid-range Android rivals. A 27 percent cut on a flagship is a strong move, and it likely means inventory needs to move ahead of the holiday quarter.
What I'd want to know is whether these discounts apply to the unlocked models or only carrier variants, since that changes the math considerably. The Pro XL dropping by "hundreds" is the headline number, but for most people the standard Pixel 11 at a steeper percentage off is probably the smarter buy. You're getting the core Tensor experience and the same software support, just without the telephoto lens and bigger screen.
The real question is whether this is a one-off promotion or a sign that Google is repositioning its pricing strategy for the next generation. If the Pixel 12 launches at a lower MSRP to compete, these discounts might become the norm. For now, if you were already leaning toward a Pixel, this is about as good a moment as you'll get before the new year.
