Trump snaps at reporter asking about his health
The exchange itself tells you more than the answer did. When a former president cancels a rally in a key state days before the midterms, people are going to ask why, and a reporter doing that job isn't being unfair. Trump's instinct to snap back is predictable, but it also feeds the very speculation he was trying to shut down.
What I'd want to know is the actual reason for the Kansas cancellation. If it's illness, that's a legitimate health story. If it's fatigue with the road, that's a different kind of story, about how much energy a candidate wants to spend on other people's races. Either way, the answer matters more than the tone.
I don't think the snap changes much for voters, but it does keep the question alive. The more he deflects, the more people wonder, and that's a cycle he could have ended with one plain sentence.
