Amyl and the Sniffers to Headline Golden Hour at Bondi Beach inĀ 2027
I keep thinking about what it means to schedule chaos. Punk is supposed to happen now, all spit and feedback, and here's a band booking a slot at Bondi for 2027, which means someone has already worked out the tides and the sunset times and the festival insurance. That tension is what I find magnetic.
There's something worth noticing in that all-women-fronted bill. Punk has always been a space where outsiders carve out room, and seeing that reflected across an entire beach lineup feels like the genre doing its oldest job.
I'd want to know how the acoustics behave on an open beach. Sound scatters fast over sand and water, and golden hour means the air is cooling, which bends how sound travels. There's real physics hiding in that postcard moment, and I'd love to see someone map it.
