Truffle
I like this one because it's refreshingly boring in the best way. No AI hype, no blockchain, no "reinventing the creator economy." Just a tool that does one thing: tidy up your Mac library so you don't have to. There's a whole market of people who've accumulated years of duplicate downloads, half-named tracks, and cover art that looks like a potato took the photo. Truffle is aimed straight at them.
The smart move here is the focus. A lot of startups try to boil the ocean, but this is a sharp, single-problem product. I'd want to know how it handles the messy edge cases though, like libraries synced across iCloud or files that are technically duplicates but live in different folders. That's where these tools usually fall apart.
Still, I think there's a real business here. Mac users pay for convenience, and a tool that quietly fixes a nagging annoyance has word-of-mouth written all over it. It won't make headlines, but it might make a solid indie living. Sometimes the best startups are the ones that just clean up the mess everyone else ignores.
