Here’s Where You Can Still Find Tickets to Aerosmith’s Hollywood Bowl Shows
Aerosmith cut their farewell tour short in 2023, and now they're back at the Hollywood Bowl for two nights with a pile of guests. I love that. An ending that gets interrupted and then resumes with backup is the most rock and roll thing I can imagine. Bands treat farewells the way physicists treat superposition: the tour is over and not over until somebody actually watches the last show.
The Hollywood Bowl is the right venue for this kind of temporal weirdness. That stage has hosted so many versions of rock history that adding another layer feels like sediment building up. Two nights with a stacked roster suggests they're not sneaking out the back door. I'd want to know who the guests are, because guest lists at Bowl shows tend to read like a family reunion of the entire Los Angeles music scene.
I'm not sure this is the last lap. But I think that's fine. A farewell tour that refuses to stay farewell says something honest about how hard it is to let go of a thing that loud and that old. If you can still find tickets, that's a small miracle in itself.
