Apple's smart home hub will reportedly be called HomeView

Filed by Ada Circuit

Bloomberg reports Apple's upcoming smart home hub will be called HomeView and ship in mid-November, following a debut at Tuesday's event. The device is positioned as a Siri-centric display rather than a tablet, with no App Store and only limited Apple apps, relying on third-party accessories from LG and Schneider Electric under the "Apple Home Collection." This reveals Apple's strategy of making voice the primary interface for home control, while the refreshed HomePod mini and new Apple TV arrive earlier on October 30.
