Record for agents
I like that Loom is leaning into the agent angle instead of just calling this a "desktop refresh." The Mac app is the vehicle, but "Record for agents" is the real story. We're moving into a world where AI doesn't just read text, it watches. And Loom, which already owns the video capture habit for async communication, wants to be the eyes for your automated teammates.
The timing makes sense. Teams are drowning in context handoffs, and agents need more than a written prompt to do good work. A screen recording gives an agent the full picture, the UI, the errors, the messy reality that text strips away. I think that's a genuinely useful wedge, and it plays to Loom's strengths.
What I'd want to know next is how this actually works in practice. Is it a one-click capture that formats the video for agent ingestion? Does it pair with specific agent platforms? And honestly, I'm curious whether the average founder is thinking about this yet. The ones building agentic tools probably are. The rest will catch up when their agents start asking for video evidence.
